				May or may not be the best thing ever

				I lost my hymen to a lowman.

I really thought that it was going to be rockets and shooting stars. It turns out (for me - now I'm not saying this is the way it's going to be for everyone) that waiting to lose your virginity to someone you actually care about is what's most important. It seems that most people see virginity as a hurdle that they have to maneuver around.

After I lost it, I felt so disappointed that I didn't even want to share my experience with anyone. It has taken a long time for me to realize what a precious gift I had so willingly given away. Through forums like this - virgin-forums.com and defloweredmemoirs.com - I've been able to share in other women's experiences, and glean from them what I can.

Virginity is a gift. Act accordingly.

Hi Nifty;

That’s a shame.

I’ve often condemned the prevailing cultural norm - the norm that has
decided that virginity is a “hurdle” that has to be overcome - that
people who have not had sex are “losers” - and it’s unfortunate that
you’ve fallen victim to it.

My sympathies to you.

Thanks for sharing your story. I hope that others will take inspiration
from it, and realize that those who deem them to be “losers” because
they have not had sex are actually the losers themselves - in the sense
that they are stupid enough to allow themselves to be brainwashed by
the prevailing cultural norm.
